What I collect
If you join the list or RSVP for a Monday walk, a dinner, or another gathering, I collect your name, phone number, email, whether you live in or near Bend, and whether you agreed to receive texts. If you book a time with me, the booking service collects the details you enter there. If you pay for anything, the payment service collects your payment details; I never see your card or bank numbers.
How I use it
Only to tell you about walks, dinners, workshops, and other gatherings, and to confirm meetings you book. If you live outside Bend, I use that to skip you on local-only invites. I don't sell your information or give your contact details to anyone.
Texts
I only text you if you checked the box. Message frequency varies and is low. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
Services I use
- Netlify hosts this site and receives sign-ups.
- Kit stores the list and sends emails.
- Cal.com handles bookings.
- Stripe handles payments.
- Google Workspace runs my email and calendar, where bookings land, and Google Meet hosts video calls.
- Notion holds my own notes on people I've met: names, how we know each other, and what I've promised to follow up on.
Analytics and advertising
I may use tools that show me how people find and use this site, and that help me show ads to people in and around Bend. These may include Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. They use cookies or similar technology to collect things like the pages you visit, how you got here, your device and browser, and your general location. Clarity can record how you scroll and click; I set it to hide anything you type into a form. These companies handle that information under their own privacy policies.
You can block these tools with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, and adjust how Meta uses this information in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.
